was a teen comedy-drama on the WB network. it is said to be a precursor to glee, which was also created by ryan murphy. i loved this show. the writing, the set design, the fashions, the camera work, the lighting, all of it was very creative. unfortunately, it only ran for two consecutive seasons from 1999 – 2001. i did have the pleasure of meeting leslie bibb {who starred as the lead, brooke mcqueen} at a coffee shop in San Francisco. so sweet and personable, she looked the same in real person as she does on screen. also, accompanying her was sam rockwell who appeared in iron man 2.

I remember this show (and I loved it)! I was such a sucker for teen dramas on the WB.
I LOVED this show! Never knew Ryan Murphy created it, though (I guess I was still too young to care about details like that haha). Thanks for sharing these great pictures!

Ahhh I used to watch Popular too! Hardly recognized Leslie Bibb in Confession of a Shopaholic! Soo many great shows have been canceled! Lipstick Jungle was one of my favorites! Super sad!

I remember the show Popular – you jarred my memory with this post. I think I only watched a few epis though. I always like to watch the original Charlie’s Angels show. The style was amazing. I know they’re remaking the show, but I don’t see it being as fashionable as the original, do you? =)

I LOVED that show and was so sad when it was cancelled. Was the brunette actress ever in anything else? She had major gummage.
