color block clutch: do it yourself
November 10th, 2011 § 51 Comments
you know that feeling when you just need to recreate something? well that happened with the color block clutch. and it was inevitable with so many of these in sight right now, i was just needing to create one myself. some time ago i had bought this great men’s leather travel wallet from an asian antique shop in california, close by to where i used to work. and because i didn’t throw down a huge sum amount, i thought that i could get away with applying my color blocking hankerings to this very pouch.

OMG!! I don’t think I would dare do this to any of my precious bags!!!! I love the idea & you’re so creative for thinking of it. Hope your week is going well xoxo
NEAT! thanks for the tutorial. That neon green is such a fun color to play with. xoxo

Love it… and great colours! I’m going to try it
Oh, so pretty, I love it. My problem with clutches is well–I like to be hands free! Just imagined your clutch with a lucite/plastic chain strap of the same green colour. Would be so Proenza Schouler.
really amazing, can’t believe you did it yourself, great job Kristina, I wish I could do it too, but I’m not “manual ” at all!
A. this is an adorable DIY idea
B. your nails are really working with that green!

Great clutch! And the photography is very professionally done. Do you take your own photos? You are truly talented. I’m going to try that myself, but I’m not sure I can pull it off. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh dear, this idea is trouble, Kristina! Not only because now I’m totally scheming about how I can recreate this look, but because I will now feel completely justified whenever I want to buy a new leather bag at a thrift store.
I really like that this particular clutch was originally a men’s piece – I think it gives it that extra-unique flair and the little embossing on the flap makes it look really rich in detail. So lovely! I hope you’re having a marvelous Thursday, dear friend!
