i had maybe the best meal of my life at anthony’s bell street diner in seattle. i know, it’s a pretty bold statement to make but i tend to do this when it comes to food. delectable salmon cakes with a golden outer crust, crunchy green beans alongside fluffy white rice drizzled with a sweet and spicy chili lime sauce sprinkled w. chives. ah! i need this now! have a wonderful weekend everyone! xxx

as soon as i laid eyes on these floral printed kicks at buffalo exchange, i knew i wanted them in my closet. and did you see the pastel candy yellow soles? love it when the entire shoe is pretty! the inspiration is endless right now with regard to florals and it’s definitely a trend that i plan to play out come spring. what are your thoughts?

located in downtown seattle, it boasts the tallest building on all of the west coast. it’s height doubles the space needle. don’t the cars look like little toy matchbox cars? and some of these angles remind me of the switchboards inside of apple computers, everything looks so miniature!

i’ve been known to live in my workout gear which consists of spandex and dri-fit nike tops. so now that athletic colors and materials have emerged onto the runway, i’m pleased to say that i’m pleased. plus it’s very easy to go from a day of shopping and iced-coffees to an early evening gym sesh because you’re already halfway dressed. you’ve got no excuse now!

you guys have got to make this soup! and let me tell you, i was intimidated too!! but it’s really quite simple, well if at least you can semi-master the making of the wontons… we took cues from martha on this along with a few of our own adjustments added to the mix. and i rarely am one to toot my own horn but i have to say that it was just as good, if not better than the wonton soup at my favorite chinese restaurant, serious!

i picked up two russian doll sets on my seattle trip. believe it or not that pink one opens up to ten pieces! i’ve always gotten so much satisfaction from the consecutively smaller pieces inside, hence the disappointment i have when some don’t even open. is it just me? anyways, wishing you all the grandest of weekends! xxx

i could live on tacos. seriously. tacos and pizza. not to get all unhealthy on you guys but these aren’t really all that bad for you. this variation uses grass-fed beef but i most often use ground turkey. and no bells and whistles here, just clean and simple deliciousness! another trick is to use greek yogurt in lieu of sour creme, it works like a charm.

ingredients:
• 1 pound ground beef, bison or turkey {organic, grass-fed is always the best option}
• 1 sweet onion finely chopped
• 3 roma tomatoes diced
• shredded lettuce
• shredded cheddar cheese
• salsa
• hot or mild sauce
• greek yogurt
• vegetable oil
• hard/soft shell tacos
• s + p
• 1 packet taco seasoning

to do:
begin by browning the meat in a large skillet and breaking into small pieces. once cooked slightly, drain excess fat and place aside. toss 1/2 chopped onion into the pan w. a little vegetable oil plus s + p and sweat until translucent. add the meat back into the pan along with the taco seasonings {following the packet instructions}. prepare all of your toppings, assemble and enjoy!
